Welcome to the Best Western Palestine Inn, a motel that is picture framed with a city of
natural beauty. A city with 20,000 plus people and includes great pioneer and Victorian homes
dating back to 1849. Palestine is said by many to be a gracious Southern Belle with over 20
famous Texans who molded this great state through education, religion, and industry. Our city
fills the bill for its history, nature, recreation and entertainment. The Texas State Railroad
has huge ole' steam engines that pull the train for a fun ride for the entire family. There is
always something going on: Hot Pepper and Dogwood Festivals, Rough Rider reenactments, canoe
races and bike tours. There are great tasting chili cook-offs, Melodrama Theater, rodeos and
tours of homes. Our holiday special for all ages is our Victorian Train Ride with Santa and
all the goodies. Palestine is located in the central part of East Texas, which is 180 miles
southeast of Dallas, 150 miles north of Houston and 180 miles northeast of Austin. So come
have an adventure by fishing on our lakes, golfing on our courses, or shopping at all the
antique shops that cover our town. Yes, there is something for everyone at a place you will
enjoy.
