From the airport, Monastir is about a 20-minute drive on the main road. To
the north, 20kms along the coast road, is the resort area of Sousse. From
there, the main road inland leads to the 9th-century holy city of
Kairouan, about an hour’s drive (67kms) away. Buses depart from the
